What is Joint Entrance Examination? 


The  official name of IIT -  JEE is the student gateway to join the prestigious IIT Institute. The exam  is conducted in two phases and  counselling session.




What are the two phases for? 


The two phases are  named as mains and advanced. First stage is for screening purpose known as the mains exam.




What is  the cut off score? 


Important is that aggregate marks is taken subject wise and also as total marks in  JEE - Advanced examination.




Is the marks only for admissions to the  IIT 's?

The screening part of JEE Mains exam is held twice a year. JEE whereas  


Period is  between January and April of the given  academic year. 



Advanced is held once a year. Now who conducts the main  exam? NTA (National Testing Agency) organises the JEE - Mains 


Next or higher level of entrance exam Advanced is conducted by JAB or The IIT Joint Admission Board.
